THERAPEUTIC RECREATION SECTION

 

 

 

SPONSORSHIP/CO-SPONSOSHIP POLICY

 

This policy and application does not apply to the CPRS Conference but should be utilized for any other workshop/seminar, etc. sponsored or co-sponsored by the Therapeutic Recreation Section.

 

TR SECTION SPONSORSHIP

 

1.                  Application for sponsorship completed and sent to the TR Section Director 60 days (minimum) prior to the scheduled date of workshop.

 

2.                  Completed application is distributed to the TR Section Board of Directors, within three working days of receipt, by the TR Section Director.

 

3.                  Section Director contacts Board of Directors by phone for vote on sponsorship request.  Board approval/disapproval is submitted to the program chair two weeks after written application is received.

 

4.                  TR Section Director or sponsorship chair contacts SPRS for labels.

 

5.                  Workshop/seminar income goes directly to the TR Section.  The TR Section is also responsible for loss.

 

6.                  TR Section representative or other Board member must serve on the program committee and must be present at the workshop.

 

TR SECTION CO-SPONSORSHIP

 

PROCEDURE IS THE SAME AS ABOVE FOR #1-4.

 

  1. Duties are divided between requesting workshop chairperson and the TR Section representative.

 

  1. Income is divided equally among co-sponsors; loss is divided equally among co-sponsors.

 

  1. TR Section representative or other Board member must serve on the program committee and must be present at the workshop.

 

  1. If the requesting party wants to use the TR Section and labels, the TR Section will receive 10% of the workshop registration fees.

 

  1. If the requesting party wants to only use the TR Section labels, the requesting party contacts the CPRS and pays the organizational fee.
